In my essay project 3 I showed a lot of improvement in my ability to use MLA format. My essay proves I can correctly use MLA format and meet learning objectives 5 and 6. In my first essay some of my parenthetical in-text citations and work cited page were not correct. On one of my parenthetical citations I had forgotten to include the last name, and for another I didn’t have any parenthetical citation. My work cited page was also missing a few things. Also in my first 2 essays I would put the date I started the essay instead of the day the essay is due. But now I have learned how to make sure this is all correct. All of my quotes are followed by the author’s last name and page number if that was applicable. In my essay 3 the biggest MLA revision I did was turning one of my longer quotes into a box quote. I also made it slightly shorter by using ellipses. My work cited page has been a little off in the past but I believe my work cited page for project 3 is correct. I made sure to include the authors first and last name, title of their piece, where it was published, the url, and then the date I accessed it. It also should have all the correct punctuation. In my essay three I made a lot of improvements with my MLA format. I didn’t make any of the mistakes I had previously made which proves my growth and accomplishment with MLA citation.
